Language Extender (LEng) is a product line of multilingual localization (language
support) software for Windows Mobile Pocket PC devices:
- Windows Mobile 2003
- Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition
- Windows Mobile 5.0
- Windows Mobile 6.0
Language Extender enables to input information in national language in any
application on Windows Mobile Pocket PC devices, edit it and transfer to other
Pocket PC’s or desktop computers. Language Extender package includes drivers of
national Pocket PC on-screen keyboard and national regional settings. As optional
feature, it provides translation of Windows Mobile Pocket PC interface to national language.
Essential Windows Mobile Pocket PC localization features:
- Optional Windows Mobile Pocket PC interface translation (all icons, menus, dialogs of
Windows Mobile Pocket PC interface and built-in Pocket PC applications will be translated)
- Different on-screen keyboard layouts for national letters input
- New! Word autocomplete function completes words being typed on the
on-screen keyboard or Pocket PC external keyboard
- Special module for external Pocket PC keyboard that enables using portable
keyboards to type in national languages
Windows Mobile Pocket PC localization package includes Full and Lite versions. Full version of localization provides full translation of Windows Mobile Pocket PC interface to national language (all icons, menus and dialogs of built-in application will be translated), all the features mentioned above and some more features.
Lite version includes on-screen keyboard layout for national letters input, national regional settings, word autocomplete function, etc. Lite version of language support does not translate Windows Mobile Pocket PC interface (menus and dialogs remain in English).
